The day was Friday, July 13th. The location, somewhere in a West Jordan basement. The Shotskis gathered early for a short practice and sound checks. As the invitees arrived, we mingled and ate and drank only the finest money has to buy….(for $250…). Then the time came…. and we KILLED IT!!
We all felt good during the show and the crowd (~30 people) was pumped! After the show, we heard a lot of “you guys were actually better than expected.” We get it… new band that has only been playing together for 4 months, basement performance, scraggly looking crew (except the lead singer, he’s “dreamy”)….. But after the first song, I think everyone could already tell…their faces were melted! We played 13 songs over the course of an hour and a half and had a HELL of a lot of fun doing it!!
Thanks to all those that came out to see us perform! We had a great time and we hope you all did as well.
HUGE thanks to Tristan and Nelson for allowing the band to create ridiculous amounts of noise for several hours every week to get show ready and then of course, hosting the first show. We wouldn’t be here without your many sacrifices and contributions. We all love you both!
